![]() For example, the 38,000 from topaz is added to your base thorns, but thorns can't crit, isn't affected by weapon damage, and isn't affected by most skill multipliers (like Impale, for instance), so there are really only a few niche builds that can capitalize on thorns or Hack - but of course a topaz is best in weapon for them. ![]() I think there's some confusion about which stats are being affected and how they're applied. Maybe I'm stupid, but the choice between 38000 extra damage(skewed as it may be) and 270 is.well.I'm open to possibilities of it not being so obvious, but as it stands.only a braindead moron would use the latter(especially in the presence of Diamonds and Emeralds). I just can't see when would that be useful. Ok, Amethyst, perhaps, some summoner build or whatever where the tops of the pops damages aren't really necessary, but Ruby? +270 damage? Excuse me, but that is S.H.I.T. What I don't understand is why anyone would EVER use Ruby or Amethyst in their weapon. Diamonds are pretty powerful but only vs anything that counts as a boss / elite and Emeralds.they won't work more than half of time. I can see the point for Diamonds and Emeralds as well. ![]() 38000 damage, that scales, that factors into weapon damage calculations(such as 6,5 * dmg for Impale). But it requires Kanai + Hack, so the deck's a bit stacked in this scenario towards the Topaz. ![]()
